STRUGGLE
by Kurtis Watkins

Attacked from my back.
Left a deep wound of sorrow.
Two enemies, even next to me!
Attempting to destroy my tomorrow.

A battle turned to war,
an engagement I did not begin.
And who of all to think,
to receive claws from a close friend.

But shed no tear my dear,
only victory in store.
If all you see is the struggle,
then take a glance once more.

A crushed head to my feet,
and to the other a kick through.
And in the eyes, a great rise!
Of a confidence Renew.

And now I understand,
why the battle took place.
Without the motivation of struggle,
my victory would be erased.
